It was a nice return to another Rutland Hall Hotel wedding. This venue offers a truly spectacular location to have your wedding and celebrations. The outdoor ceremony area is on a hill with has breath-taking views across Rutland Water to the far hills beyond.
I met up with George, getting ready in the hotel, with his best man and Dad. A little nervous, but well-fortified with a glass of malt supplied by Oliver, his thoughtful best man. George looked super dapper in his stylish suit.
Guests started to arrive en masse by bus. It was so great to have a full wedding crowd, after Covid restrictions of 30. Ben was surrounded by supportive fans and like George, he was v handsome in his blue suit. His best lady, Charlotte, looked lovely in her green dress.
The ceremony was coming together, as guest took their seats. Such a unique spot to get married, with the views of the reservoir bathed in sunshine and fluffy clouds. George & Ben walked down the path under the gazebo together hand in hand, preceded by parents, best man and best lady. It was a really lovely ceremony, with readings from George’s sister and Bens mother. Young …..did a fine job of carrying the rings.
Turn on the celebrations, with the hotel staff serving champagne & canapés on the terrace outside. It was so nice to capture the happy faces and colourful outfits.
The dining room tables had wonderful floral pieces by Blossoms and Threads. A stunning cheese and pork pie tiered wedding cake & fruits display looked absolutely delicious – created by Stamford Cheese & Deli. Various decorations by Dilly & Taylor
The wedding banquet was heartily enjoyed by all. Some lovely, touching speeches by Ben & George’s fathers, both grooms, best man, and best lady.
Evening was drawing in and the sunset was a really special extra treat – wowser !
The guys sliced some wedding cheese and then hit the floor for their first dance. Their was no holding back the party crowd and in no time the place was rockin’ ! Great music by Strobes Disco Roadshow
