Sunshine, church ceremony and country garden for Joe & Pei’s 2020 summer wedding at Langrish House.

We were under covid restrictions, but there was no holding back with the joy and heat on Joe & Pei’s beautiful hot wedding day.

Pei and her maid of honour got ready in the morning at Langrish House. My associate photographer Minah Wilson took some stunning shots of the bridal accessories and preparations. She also took some photos of beautiful Pei, all ready, before leaving for the church.

The ceremony was held at Immanuel Church in Southsea. This is the couple’s regular church and although they could only have a limited congregation, family and friends shared the personal ceremony, with Joe’s brother playing the piano and a close friend singing. The event was filmed and ‘beamed’ to China for Pei’s family, who sadly were unable to be there.

After some confetti, a fantastic vintage Bentley transported the couple back to the garden wedding at Langrish House. Chilled drinks in the shade went down v well. Joe’s father gave a touching speech and celebrations shared by everyone. We kept in the shade (temperature well into the 30s) for some family & friend group photos.

The dinner was in the splendid, panelled Talbot dining room. Joe’s twin brother was best man and gave a fun speech.

With the wonderful evening sunlight & temperatures a bit lower, we did shots in the fabulous gardens and grounds of the venue. This concluded the wedding at Langrish House. Joe & Pei are having a large gathering in 2021, so more happy times to come.
