Claire & Chris’s beautiful wedding was an intimate and relaxed day, at this delightful venue, near Cambridge.

Sheene Mill is an absolute gem of a place, with old character buildings, designer gardens and it’s outdoor ceremony space by a small lake. Lots to explore as a Cambridge Wedding Photographer.

Claire was getting ready in the bridal suite, aided and assisted by her two ‘ladies of loveliness’. Really liked this entirely original self-named title for her ‘bridesmaids’ and lovely they were too. Claire’s hair was done with a retro wave/curl look (sorry Claire, please correct me if needed – I really need to improve my knowledge/vocabulary of hair designs, ha ha!!) It looked divine. All done by Laura-Jayne Hutchinson The Hair Hutch

Her make up was by Mirna Makeup Mirna — Professional Makeup Artist UK

Claire’s stunning wedding dress was a game of thrones inspired dress, by Fox Bridal aptly named “Fire & Ice”, arranged by Clifford Burr Bridal of Bishop’s Stortford. Alterations were performed by Olivia Van Der Horst, also of Bishop’s Stortford.

Chris was already fully prepared, just the finishing touch of his button hole. All flowers were by Welwyn Florist. His dapper suit was from Cad & the Dandy in Saville Row Bespoke Suits , though he is more a dandy dude than a ‘cad’ on this occasion. Claire’s 2 brothers also looked splendid in their red tartan.

With guests all seated on the lawn, it was time for the bridal party to take a small diversion, out of view, around the front of the mill, to be able to walk together to the ceremony spot. Chris looked visibly moved by the vision of his beautiful bride, walking towards him. The couple then moved to the sweet gazebo, which just out over the water. With a few ducks quietly quacking their approval in the background, our couple exchanged personal vows & rings and hence were duly wed !

The weather was great all day for drinks and celebrations outside. After the wedding banquet and cake cutting (created by Laura Kate Cake Boutique ) , I took Claire & Chris for a wander to a nearby field with long grass, for some special ‘romantic’ shots, in the soft evening light. There was a good knees up with the Ceilidh Bang Caledonian Reelers, giving the tunes.

We also used the amazingly lit gazebo again for some twilight photos, where Claire & Chris did a second mini first dance – loved it !!

All in all a really lovely wedding day at Sheene Mill, a special venue for myself, as a Cambridge Wedding Photographer.
