A wonderful colourful celebration with music, abundant flowers and decorations at this chic Bijou wedding venue. See more on the Bijou website.

Botleys is such an awesome setting for a wedding and Gemma & Russell’s’ August day was no exception. The building itself is striking and together with the magnificent assorted rooms and beautiful grounds, it all makes for many wonderful photo opportunities.

Gemma and her bridal party got ready upstairs in the bridal suite. Quite busy room of activity, with a number of bridesmaids, multi-tasking various preparations and not forgetting their son Ronnie, getting his gear together, as a star page boy. I alternated with the girls and Russell’s room for shots of each. Love the shot of Russell and best man doing each other’s ties !

Gemma’s beautiful dress, with long veil, was designed by Australian Designer Karen Willis Holmes.

The guys looked super smart with their black-tie suits, which keyed in with the later ceremony time & evening celebrations.

I enjoyed photographing so many gorgeous flowers, all done by W Flowers. The outside steps to the front of the house looked amazing, as did the stairway down to the Atrium. There were also lovely touches with the decorations, mirrors and stationary by Angels Creations. Added to this were the various balloons with messages set up by Balloontique Essex. All in all, a visual delight.

Sweet little Ronnie, led the first walk down the balloon, balloon in one hand and flower girl in the other, to meet his dad. Closely following came Gemma, looking stunning, to also be greeted by Russell, with a wide grin. Partway through the lovely ceremony, we were treated to some tingling gospel singing by CK Gospel Choir.

Our newly married couple then made their way first down and back up the stone steps to be showered with confetti and cheers of appreciation! Some champagne & photos time, before another stairway walk for Gemma & Russell into the spectacular Atrium, for the wedding banquet.

Much to enjoy, as well as the delicious Bijou food, with magician Matt Parro amazing everyone with his fine trickery, some beautiful piano playing by Kate from ALR music….and….the speeches! Touching words and hilarity from Gemma’s father, our groom and best man.

The party was in fine flow, with more evening guests spilling in, to take things to the next level. The cake, created by Julia’s Designer Cakes, was duly sliced and then our couple took to the floor for their first dance.

The fantastic band 10 piece Sway All Star Orchestra gave us their best and guests couldn’t keep still to the soul based rhythms.

What a party, what a lovely couple and what another great Botleys Mansion Wedding day  – thanks guys !
