"I regard my role as a photographer to be calm and focused but sensitive and alive to all the real emotions of a wedding day.
To me it is still a real honour and privilege to be witnessing and recording a couple's marriage. I continue to find the experience moving and refreshing. I want to do the very best that I can for your set of pictures.

I love how the whole day unfolds and comes together and I want to capture this storybook for you. I look for real, emotive pictures of the couple and their love for one another, un-posed portraits, arty details, guests, the setting, humour, fly-on-the wall documentary".

I DO:

  • Produce pictures of people naturally and spontaneously.
  • I take groups shots quickly, without dominating or making too much fuss.
  • Want you to relax together and interact naturally for atmospheric portraits.
  • Respect how exactly you'd like your wedding day to be.
  • Listen and respond to you on the day, but also take care of things so you can relax and enjoy.

I DON'T:

  • Think I'm over important.
  • Get in the way.
  • Pose people.
  • Order or boss people.
  • Think of weddings as just another day's work - all are different and individual.
  • Just do weddings, but a variety of work so I'm not a 'wedding factory' working on automatic.
  • Go for gimmicky digital effects or wacky angles that cheapen the look of a nice image.
