Joanna and Nick's wedding day at Portsmouth Cathedral was blessed with radiant sunshine and summer warmth. The bright light illuminated the space inside with soft glow providing a very inspiring backdrop indeed. How many processions, I wondered had made their way over the years down this nave?

But today it was the beautiful Joanna with her father leading the little cherubs and bridesmaids all the way to meet her future husband Nick, waiting with the bishop, other clergy and quite a few guests!

A very special service, then outside for cakes, fizz and happy mingling. A few photos, a speech or two, laughter and then back inside the cathedral for the banquet, excellent!

My favourite photo of the happy couple is now, as they walk in through the great west door with the sun streaming behind them to join their guests for the leisurely feast.
